Genevieve's Headshot 2.jpg

Geneviève Canavan is a creator, director, and playwright from Walpole, Massachusetts. Some recent credits include assistant directing York’s Unmounted showing of Scorched (2016), the MFA Hybrid Showing of This is War (2016), and dramaturging the playGround Festival piece You’ve Got to be Kidney Me! (2017). She is continually exploring immersive theatre and how being unaware of the entire story affects the audience’s experience. She believes theatre should not only entertain and educate, but have people constantly see that the world we live in is much more grey than it is black and white.
